Life is What Happens When You're Busy Making Other Plans*

Life is what happens when you're busy making other plans*** the way I see it, that saying is correct. We always try to make plans and control our lives, but often I think it's the other way round - that life's actually controlling us... And no, that's not a bad thing (it just sounds ominous) but the really cool thing about it is that, we can never fully predict what is to come. That makes it frightening but instead of feeling scared, we should be excited! No one controls our destinies, including ourselves. And you can make plans and hope that everything goes perfectly, but life decides what happens in the end. That doesn't mean we can't make our own choices though...

In this post I wanted to talk about choices... Yeah so this may not be the butterflies and rainbows I promised but I want to increase happiness and this is just something I'd like to discuss with myself briefly.

Choices should always be based on how it will effect your (and other people's) happiness. I'd say "never do something that you know will hurt someone" but then what if not hurting them will hurt you? ... Well then I think it's important to find a common ground (but at the end of the day, the majority's happiness should decide).

Under no circumstances am I saying you should not be happy, I'm just saying you have to always think about how it will make the other people involved feel...
For example! I will share some of my personal life, right now there are two really great guys I know. They both know each other, really well actually, and they both live in the same area. Let's call them Boy A and Boy B. Now Boy A I have known for a while, but recently we've gotten closer, and Boy B goes to school far, far away...
Boy A likes me, and has told me so, but he and his girlfriend broke up recently (who I go to school with) ... But Boy B, who's like the sweet, shy type, has been flirting with me since we met a few weeks ago and I think I may like-like him. But I don't know how often I'll get to see Boy B and if I go for Boy B then Boy A will be really upset and I'm more likely to see Boy A but if Boy A and I do anything then Boy B won't go for me...

So I'm trying to weigh up the pros and cons... And I think, in the end, I may have to walk way from both Boy A and B as romantic possibilities... Which I don't want to do but I also don't want to hurt either of them. I will not cost people they're happiness.
But while this is all very premature, and I have no idea where this is gonna go, I think I'm going to let Life take me where it wants me to be and what happens, happens. Hey, maybe I'll meet a Boy C and Boy A & B will just be my friends :) who knows? I don't but I'm going to enjoy finding out...

Smile☺. Imagine. Live †.
